Here is a report on the overall demand for the AMT 3000 antenna I build (compatible for all like kits) for 2006 vs 2005.
This year, and with the changeover of the radio info board, I've said very little in "advertising" this antenna, or in general conversation. In fact it took changing over to a computer from webtv, to get the opportunity to do this!
In 2005, I had orders of over 70 different units, which was overwelming! But in 2006, I had only 6 orders. I am wondering if the idea of part 15 am radio, which does indeed have merit, vs the idea of part 15 fm radio (which legally covers a small yard/building) is a going concern ........going forward.
I know we had a huge interest in 05.....due in part by discussion on this board and the orders I had for antennas. True, I didn't advertise or discuss this antenna much at all this year, yet, sales of the AMT 3000 AM tx are still at almost unrealistic highs........
My last sale came from a person who only wants to be identified as Bruce; I actually got a letter from him in the snail mail (since I got rid of webtv), which was nothing but praise for this antenna. I really like letters like this, because I am in the retail business and know that most people do not write, or call unless they are unhappy with your product.
Hearing from Bruce, and knowing he took the time to write and post a letter to me made me feel much better about the product.
