Amusing screw-up at WFLA today

After the initial commercial and news breaks after 3 PM, The Schnitt Show was fed out to affiliates. However, it seems someone got their wires crossed and instead of sending WFLA's feed to WIOD, WSCC, WERC, WBUV and Extreme XM, they sent out WFLZ's feed. So several cities and a national subscription service got to hear some Tampa top 40 radio and Kane's voice for a little while on the ride home before the problem was corrected.
 
Bubba the Love Sponge called it "the best five minutes of Schnitt's talk show ever!" :D
 
They run or at least were running a brokered finance show Saturdays. Every time it ends (1 pm IIRC?) the TOH ID is for WIOD, Miami (where the program originates). This followed by the FLA ID.

What, or where, was the significance?

Jeff, if significance was the measure, most of the posts on the internet would stop. Present company included. LOL!

I love it on holidays and weekends where there are like 1 person in the entire building running things for a dozen or so stations and the automation screws up and there are 2 commercials running, or some screw up with commercials running over programming.

Yea... that stuff didnt happen back when people, not machines ran radio. Maybe dead air every once in a while when I drank too much before or during my shift in the middle of the night and passed out, but never ran a cart and a song at the same time or played a cart over an open mic...
