Amy B!

She was at the Wolf in Dallas and was let go. I heard she may go to Phoenix?

AMY B. had the hottest show on country music in Dallas. I know, I worked at another station on the same floor. Amy and I were friendly.

The suits didn't like it that she insisted on ISDN'ing her show from Sedona as she has the last 3 years, and when Cumulus bought The Wolf, they brought in John Sebastian, and he is not known for being flexible.

Bottom line is, if Amy B shows up on KNIX or KMLE, she will OWN whatever daypart she's on. She's THAT good.

Amy B. has left The Wolf in Dallas, as did their morning guy this week. It's no surprise. Where ever John Sebastian shows up...talent leaves. He liner-cards stations and is such a micro-manager. It's strange that when he was in Phoenix at KRIZ back in '73-'74 he was mister personality jock. Doing shows from hot air balloons, had a home phone kids could call to talk to him, etc. When he becomes a programmer, talent is no longer important.

If Amy B does end up on country radio in the Valley she will kick booty and take names. She's incredible.

I worked with Amy for many years in Mobile (before she went to the wolf) and I can honestly say I have never seen a jock who works harder on his/her show or is anywhere as dedicated as Amy is to put out a quality product. If she shows up in Arizona Radio, it will be a treat for the listeners (no matter what format...she can do them all!)

Former Wolf/Dallas jock Amy B joins ABC Radio Networks

Former KPLX middayer Amy B was consistently #1 with 25-54s in Dallas, and ABCRN says the jock with "one good eye" will debut on 113 affiliates of "Today's Best Country." ABC's VP/Music Programming Carl Anderson says signing Amy "demonstrates our commitment to the growth of the [24/7] format business." It's also a sign of how important midday workplace listening is for radio - including country radio.
