Introducing to you the new evening show host at KMPS.. Miss Amy Lynn. ??? :-\

Apparently she'll be starting Monday.

Amy Lynn is a great choice. She's genuine, and I think would fit in well at KMPS.

If this is in fact true, the only question I have Yoyo is what station do you work for over at CBS? I ask because I search all the trade websites and haven't seen a peep on this.

It was an internal email released today Dan, I'm sure it'll show up in the trade mags tomorrow. I don't doubt Amy is a "genuine" person, but for air talent? Has she ever held her own radio show? I've heard her before on the air, and I'm not too impressed.

Didn't she have the midday show on 96.5 during the 80s itteration?

She did the 7p-10p shift after "The Point" air staff was fired and before it became K-Rock. Before that she was one of the sidekicks on Kiss 106.1. She also worked at Metro for a while. She must be making the rounds at Dexter Avenue. ???

No she did do middays @ The Point. Went to Montana for awhile and then was on the old Mix morning show after the Lisa Foster episode. She's been sounding good doing traffic in afternoons on the Wolf since Mix blew up and has established herself with the country audience. Folks at CBS know her well (some a little too well) so it's not too suprising. Good job Amy.

retreads, people who really dont have any skills...And you're impressed. Nah nah nah nah. so easily fooled

She'll be fine. She was likely hired because she's a convenient choice and CBS won't have to pay her much because she doesn't have any significant on air experience to justify paying $$$$$. Real question is when will they get a new PD who has some vision beyond, let's change the voice guy.

Amy will do fine...She's very good at talking to her audience & that in country is half the battle. Remember country is lifestyle driven...Plus she's young, hip & gets it! Alot of poundin' the pavement will help too!

Amy held the morning show for two years with Mitch Elliott on Mix 92.5, has also made the rounds at the Wolf, and as of this morning still held a morning television gig at KOMO TV 4. If this thread is true, you go girl and congrats. She'll do just fine.

I agree. I didn't realize she got around soo much (in both ways ;) ) I've heard her on the wolf from time to time on the weekends, and she needs to work on her delivery some. Based on that alone, I was amazed at Becky's decision.

But she has been in the northwest for a while now, and she is a known name. She will fit in pretty well and KMPS. We'll see how she goes.

The young late 20's Amy Lynn? I remember changing her diapers! That would be cool to have her back in the NW.

Anyone listen to her last night? I didn't get a chance to listen.
