Wow!

News to me but apparently Amy Murphy, former weatherguesser at KPNX, was the girlfriend of comedian Richard Jeni who committed suicide a couple of months back. The story is that she found Jeni in his home after he shot himself.

She's now working in LA at FOX 11 (with Liz Habib) as a reporter and doing weather.

I also wasn't aware that Jeni appeared on The Tonight Show more often than any other stand-up comic, going back to Carson days. I didn't see it but I understand that Jay Leno did a memorial on his show last March just after Jeni's death.
 
That is so sad. Poor thing! She's probably traumatized.
