Agreed.donicus said:No big surprise there.
I think most of us would be hard-pressed to name even one song that Winehouse sang. I'm reminded of the time when Al Gore supposedly met Courtney Love, claimed to be a fan of hers, but when challenged by her, couldn't even name a single song of hers!recto101 said:I never even heard of Winehouse as a singer. I only heard of Winehouse on the cover of Rupert Murdoch's tabloids, Harvey Levin's TMZ front page with headlines "In Rehab" whenever Harvey Levin does not feel like going after Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Spears and Mel Gibson. and Murdoch puts her there when ever he does not want to talk about his political agenda.
I'd move it to Off the Air, but there is already a thread about her there. Rest assured that this thread will be like Winehouse's life, in other words, relatively short-lived.sathman01 said:I suggest this thread be deleted. Has nothing to do with Dallas Radio.
She was booed off the stage at her last public appearance.TheRover said:Greatness on superbly produced studio recordings.....jeffdfw said:I think she was greatness... RIP Amy >>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUmZp8pR1uc&ob=av2n
But bringing her act live to the public, well that was a mixed blessing......
I've never had much respect for artists that can't deliver consistently live, and deliver only/mostly in the studio. But even then, greatness engineered on record... will and should hold up, decades later, without the benefit of a touring act to support it.
