Didn't know where to put this, but her biggest success in America came from CHR. What a waste. I wonder if there will be a bump in airplay for "Rehab" in the coming days.

I agree....although I didn't care for the few songs by her that I heard, it is a shame.atlantaboy said:Yeah, this is really sad - especially since she sang about not wanting to go to rehab (and I'm guessing she died of an OD)

It's interesting that you put Alan Wilson in the list. I didn't know his name (or that he died at 27) until about two weeks ago.

He's pretty much forgotten today, outside of blues-rock and '60s music fans. For those who don't know who he was, Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson was the lead guitarist/vocalist for Canned Heat from its founding in 1965 until his death on 9/3/1970 - 15 days before Jimi Hendrix. His death was due to an overdose, but suicide was not ruled out (he had severe emotional problems throughout his life and his drug use certainly didn't help).
Another member of the "27 Club" is Grateful Dead keyboardist Ron "Pigpen" McKernan, who died on 3/8/1973 due to a lifetime of excessive alcohol abuse.
