An Anniversary Marked... With STYLE!!

I don't want to necessarily use the word "congratulations" for a topic such as this so I will opt to use "commend" WPLJ for their handling of such a historic date in our nation's history. Granted I only caught a small portion of their broadcast today, but none-the-less I was touched and surprised by such professionalism by the entire morning show staff. Scott, Todd, Patty and even Joe were all low-key today and not to say that they don't enjoy what they do for 24 hours a week, but today was different and they proved that they had one focus in mind...The Listeners of the Tri-State area. Between their personal accounts of that day, the listener input, families and friends of victims and the patriotism that poured out of my speakers, I just want to say Thank-You. While I did not specifically know someone that was lost on that tragic day its still one I will NEVER forget and since the media gets a bad rap (both TV and Radio) 98% of the time, today was an example of the remaining 2% where it does something positive.

THIS kind of programming is what radio license's used to be granted for: To Serve the Public!

A heartfelt wish to all the families, friends, and co-workers who lost someone that day but most importantly to all of the 3000+ who lost their lives 7 years ago. Lives were indeed lost that day but memories and heroes will be with us forever!

Scott, Todd, Patty, Joe, Bill, Monk and Brad... You Guys hit one out of the park today!!
