An FM flip in Pcola?

This is a good time to test the batting avg of this board. So is this rumor have some basis or just hot air? What say you?
Being Pensacola specific and on the N. Fla board makes me think it's something more local to that city and not the greater Mobile-Pensacola area.
I just don't think HMN is ready to throw in any towels since they're probably doing OK in Pensacola. So I have no idea and no speculation. No station in a position of importance in the market is in a place to change, so anything that happens, IF anything happens, will be a surprise to me.

It's going to be WCOA adding 106.1 according to Radio Insight.
I have to admit, I would not have thought they'd blow up the well rated urban on that frequency for talk.
If it happens, it means I'll have three sources for Rush Limbaugh on FM in Baldwin County: 104.9, 106.1 and 96.1-2. And possibly soon the 100.3 translator in Spanish Fort. Ouch.

I expect this to not end with that. You don't just blow up the #1 25-54 FM station in the market and lose out on that money. My guess is Magic moves to 100.7 and Journey goes away. There is evidence of that. So, if this happens, what to do with WDLT? No need for that if you have a 100k blowtorch carrying the same basic programming. This will be fun to watch play out.

Don,t think it was a ratings issue. heard very few spots on station. Should of kept music format. They added too many syndicated shows (Baisden, Sweat, etc.).
This is fun. Thinking crazy here...COA jumps on 106.1. Magic moves to 100.7 and Journey says bye. Since Magic and DLT mirror each other and 100.7 covers better than both 106.1 and 98.3 combined, DLT goes away and Cumulus brings Jack back or another type of adult gold based rock format on 98.3. Like I said...just thinking crazy.
Looks like Cumulus is not done with the changes In the Pensacola-Mobile market just yet.
But they should move Journey to 98.3 IF they were to put Majoc on 100.7. But you have to be realistic here, would Cumulus think of such changes other than 106.1?? Looks like they just want to focus on 106.1 and then again, it would not make sense if Magic went to 100.7 and WDLT did not move, or flip formats but it's all about the demographics, folks.

I cannot believe this area has not transitioned into the format quicker. The number of signals in the area is insane. The fact that the testosterone big Cs hasn't figured the window of opportunity out is crazy. I guess the markets just to unimportant to really focus on or matter and with all the struggles in the bigger markets, someone is finally actually watching and listening ... And acting. The fact that it's Crums is indeed scary. Go on to sleep. Won't matter.
