An interesting developement

I noticed on the FCC web site that Art Sutton's FM station WNCC in Franklin has been approved to move to 104.1, now that that has happened does anyone think that will open the door for Ron Meredith's WMYL in Knoxville/Halls Crossroads to get an upgrade? I looked and nothing has been filed for WMYL as of yet.

Not likely. The clear WJBZ by less than two kilometers, WDOD by less than three kilometers, and WXBQ by less than 10. The only way they could upgrade would be to move substantially away from Knoxville and there's no real point in that.

Very doubtful that the Franklin move will help Meredith do anything other than what he's already doing.

I agree with the other posters,, there isnt much point in moving away from knoxville, but this is still some good news for them.
