An interesting read.

I found this link on the Off the air board, and thought it would be an interesting read for the Buffalo board.

The first station that comes to my mind is 1520. The situation may be different, but the reality of how their talk ratings turn out may be similar. Yes? No?

Yes, I would think you have a very good point there and I can see the connection. Who wants to listen to a station that flips formats all the time?

There is a faction on the Oldies board and some of the other boards that really like to stir things up. According to these people research is always the way to go and we are complaining just because we are too old. The oldies format is dead they say. We are told that advertisers don't want people over 50 no matter how many of us there are. All this talk got one poster banned because he got upset and told these guys they were full of it.

An interesting article came out awhile back saying that in car listening was losing ground to of all things the cell phone! Most people now have cassette or CD players in their cars too. Then there are the many choices for entertainment in the home too. The people running radio stations better wake up and admit there is a problem or they risk going down with the stations they run.
