An observation from my driving today...

Took the day off today and spent it driving all over creation running errands.

And I noticed an odd thing.

Billboards for WBAP. Who are down in the last trend.

Billboards for Lonestar 92.5. Who are down in the last trend.

Billboards for amy B on KSCS. Who are down in the last trend.

And billboards for KLTY. Who just won a marconi.

Am I the only one that thinks ' if I buy a billboard, there but for the grace of God (and his fans who listen to the radio) my ratings are going to go down?"

Given summer is usually a heavy travel season, that probably explains a lot of the down books.

Except that the last trend was, IIRC, the last week of August and the first 3 weeks of September.

When did September become a heavy travel season?

I think it was back in 1979...

Nice call with the Elements, young man. ;D

Still have some of that on wax. Man, I'm old.

Well, almost all the elements...Water left the band in 1973.

"September" charted in 1978, during September, IIRC.

Nah, not old, just impractical! Seems like I have the followup album entitled, "I Am" from 1979...hits were "In The Stone," "Boogie Wonderland" (with The Emotions) and "Star." Great stuff...brings back memories of the old KNOK-107.5. Oh, and my freshman year in high school. (The same year the K-104 "Disco Chicken" came out to the school.)
