An observation & idea for CHRles

It seems like you have a lot of time, more than I know and most people I know could ever devote, to amass a lot of information on dance music stats and new music. While it can't easily or necessarily be applied to commercial radio in the US which these forums seem to sometimes apply to, your info is excellent and priceless to many individuals.

Did you ever consider maybe starting up a small site with this information like new releases, web streams, stations in Europe that are devoted to dance music?

Just an idea, but I imagine there would be a good amount of people that would want to visit it or even help you update/grow it. <P ID="signature">______________

I really do appreciate the kind words you and others have passed on to me. A lot!
I think we have some great moderators on this board - Radio Info has always had some of the best ones on the net. I'm sure they know more about computers then I do, and I'm just happy to post on boards where I feel there's great interaction amongst passionate people.
I used to post on several other boards for several years, but this is the one where I feel most at home at, and where I've posted the longest (since the boards inception).
I'm sure most of you remember the monthly House and Trance lists that I loved to post. It was easier to do so a couple of years ago when work didn't take up much of my day (yes I work - I manage a real estate company). The thing is some people accused me of posting just about every new release on the planet without realizing that even though my lists were lengthy they took me hours upon hours upon hours to narrow them down. I managed to listen to almost a thousand new Dance songs every month through various means, oftentimes listening to horrific and mediocre records for an hour or two before finding a gem. That's why the lists included vocals, underground, Trance, Progressive, House, a bit of Euro, a bit of Drum N Bass or Psychedelic on occasion, etc. At some point I was getting so ahead of the curve that I decided to try and just post records that got some sort of official release in DJ stores (rather then a bunch of promos that won't be available for another month).

Awhile back I figured that the best way to help keep everyone updated is simply by letting people hear the music themselves rather then just glancing over a long list of new records. That's where the list of terrestrial Dance webcasters comes in. Sambuca asked if he could make it a sticky, and this way I can update it in real time whenever needed. I know people in the radio and record industry appreciated the House/Trance lists, but I also know they appreciate the webcasters list even more (I know b/c they've mailed me about it).

Not a lot of people on here know this, but I have met a few industry people who work for radio stations (stations I highly admire), and was fortunate enough to see these stations up close and personal. I figured instead of bragging about it here I'd just keep a low profile about it. It's meant a lot to me that these individual took an interest in my passion for this music.

Again, thanks for the kind words. I know there's plenty of more great Dance music for all of us to enjoy down the road :)
