Hey Vic,
We've spoken about radio and dance music once. As much as I am mixed about 'KTU, there is one thing I can say in all positivity....when your show is on, that is perhaps the most uplifiting that 'KTU ever sounds. And it's not just the music, it's your talent on the air and your knowledge of the music. It's as if you are one WITH us regarding dance music.
In light of the recent Party 105.3 change we have discussed (and I agree) that when you left that station, as well as 95.3 Party in Orlando, the station dropped off along the way. Is there a pattern? Sure is....once your talent left, the stations fell along with it.
With that, dance fans know you have that talent. And with the way terrerstrial radio has become uncertain with formats because of the new technologies such as the iPod, I offer this suggestion if things decide to change or when your contract is up.....
GO SATELLITE!!!!
Sirius or XM would be stupid NOT to offer you your own dance music channel where you could have your brand of dance music appear there. Besides you, you would have other dance music knowledgable personalities there as well. And if it gets the buzz that I anticipate it would, dance fans would follow!
It's because of that on-air talent and knack of the music you have that I say this with the best intentions. By no means am I knocking 'KTU here. I'm just thinking down the road.
Thank you for reading,
TONY SANTIAGO
