Analog Sign-Offs Are All Over YouTube

That was good. I watched the WDEF signoff and just as the announcer was saying "quality programming from News 12" they showed a wrasslin' match.

GREAT EDIT! ;D

Personally, I liked how after the nostalgia piece, they cut back to Letterman long enough to hear his guest say "I know where you live, beeeyatch!" then cut to static. Good stuff.

On the WDEF video, I had to get a laugh at the comment about how you "no longer will have to suffer through a snowy picture..." Yeah, odds are that's true - now you get nothing!!

very cool, i hope maybe someone up in my home state of Rhode island maybe got one of their stations.

Actually, there's one of WLWC's analog shutoff, but from months ago.

I liked how WGEM-TV handled theirs. They had a news cast (a special one?) explaining to viewers what was going to happen, then gave viewers information on who they could contact for extra help in picking up the digital signal. If I heard them correctly, they went off the air for two hours--that would have been a good opportunity to partner with a radio station or pimp the WGEM website to connect with viewers while getting the DTV channel back up.
