Anchor changes at WCVB??

I know that JC Monahan and Phil Lipof are the new golden girl and golden boy at Channel 5. Both are being highly promoted on everything. JC left the weather dept and joined Anthony Everett as co-host of Chronicle and occasional reporting. Phil used to work at Channel 7, then went to New York, then back to Boston with WCVB.

I'd noticed that JC and Phil are the new Friday night anchor team with Ed Harding and Heather Unruh anchoring Sun through Thursday nights (and Pam Cross and Bob Halloran anchoring Sat nights).

This evening, I'm watching WCVB's evening news for the first time in forever as I'm never home in time to see it. JC and Phil anchored the 5 and 5:30. It's not as if Ed and Heather weren't there. Ed had a report on something from the newsroom during the 5pm show and Heather had a report on something from the newsroom during the 5:30 show. And both Ed and Heather are anchoring the 6pm show.

So has there been an official change with JC and Phil anchoring 5 and 5:30 permanently? It's not necessarily a bad thing. Less Ed Harding isn't a bad thing, that's for sure. I like Heather a lot and JC is hot. I'm neutral on Phil.
 
What is the link to the New England TV section. Thought it might be on this page but don't see it. BTW Channel 4's New Director resigned or was fired this week.

Oooopsie! ;) I MEANT to go to the tv section. Admin can move it there should they wish to do that. But, ya know, it's so slow here that most people probably won't notice or say anything. Except for raccoonradio. :D

Back to the subject at hand: If I was Heather Unruh or Ed Harding, I'd be watching my back right about now. They both lose 4 hours of anchoring time per week although they are apparently being used as reporters during that lost time. I'm home early enough this evening so I'm watching right now. Ed is reporting live from the area of the big Boston fire.

You are so right. Both boards should be combined. Had to Google to find the NE TV link. Its all local communication. Its a distinction without a difference. Radio is just TV without pictures.... ;-)
