"Anchorwoman" FOX Promo

Yes, it's dribble, and PH has completely lost all marbles.

The only part of the promo I laughed about was "There's nightclubs here?" (Tyler is still 'dry' despite the presence of clubs, which have to charge a membership)

The rest is OMG WTH for sure....

Happened to tune past CBS 19 earlier this week and there was Hurley doing his Ask the Manager schtick. With no prompting he said something to the effect of Anchorwoman is only a TV show. As usual he still doesn't get it. It's more about him selling out his network affiliation than it is bringing the sleeze factor home to East Texas where it is least favorably received.

It has moved far past "forgive him, he knows not what he does."

I've seen some of the outfits she wears, during those promos. I love what one of the other female anchor/reporters says, "I have a blazer she can borrow." That's a hint, Ms. Jones to cover up your, well to use a weather term, your "warmfront." If she truly wanted to be taken seriously like a real journalist, she would have dressed more appropriately. You're not catering to 14 year old boys and the strip club demos, you're supposed to be appealing to conservative, religious East Texas TV viewers. I guarantee many of them tuned in, saw her, and flipped the dial.

Snoman, I hear what you are saying...but I have to wonder how many "closet viewers" there are in East Texas. Watching her could be a guilty pleasure for some, others will watch just to have somethig to &&tch about at the water cooler or hair salon.

Absolutely, and that's what Hurley counted on when he pulled this "stunt". I plan on watching the show just to see what happened behind the scenes, and to see some of my friends.

Yeah Bubba likes to talk about that at the shop,ya know.

I meant to also say that CNN did an interview with both Lauren Jones and Phil Hurley over the weekend. He made the reprehensible statement that News and Entertainment are basically one in the same these days, to paraphrase. To quote the late Governor Ann Richards, "Poor Phil Was Born With A Silver Foot In His Mouth." ;)

Hurley doesn't know news or entertainment. For proof just look at "his" ratings. The Lauren Jones fiasco was not only about ratingst but about Hurley, himself, as well. His personal numbers are off quite a bit, too.

Unfortunately, Jones probably will now get an offer from a larger market, but guess who will take the credit for it--at least when he is among his buddies naive enough to beleve his line of BS.
