And a beauty from 2000 I was reacquainted with...

...thanks to one of my Arbitron-rated 8 loyal listeners ;)...Sammy Peralta's "On The One" CD. Too many great cuts to mention. And I also stumbled across another great CD from days gone by that I must admit I overlooked when it first came around: Darren Gholston's "D's Mood." WOW!!! Sometimes I am amazed as to how much great music is out there that did not and does not get airplay. I'm like a kid in a candy store with this stuff!!

Speaking of 2000 or, OK, 2001 dig up Anthony James Baker's first CD and some Victor Davies if you haven't already

Will do, Cat. Thanks for the suggestion. I think "Looking Ahead" is fantastic, so I don't see any reason why I wouldn't like his older stuff.

Sure did! Wonder who gave me that lead ;D

Sure beats dropping $18.99 at Sam Goody back in the day for one lousy cut. This CD is GREAT and it was an absolute bargain!

And I thought I was all alone knowing about Sammy Peralta. "Suzette" is my favorite track from "One On One". You guys are amazing.

Great suggestions on BOTH accounts! The AJB offering is loaded with great and versatile cuts, as well as a couple that will work with my Sunday show. And the Davies' CD has some vocals that will work well as a change of pace in the regular program, and I REALLY love the lead off instrumental on his self-titled CD.

Always getting a little help from my friends :). I often drift back a few years to search for CDs that may have been underplayed or overlooked by terrestrial radio, and this was one of them for sure!

Favorite A. Davies - Gold and Diamonds and "Brother"
also check out Lisa Shaw "I'm OK" and Pat Appleton "Smart Traveller"
it's like as soon as I started the intention to find real NAC vocals they started finding me..
for instance googling sax player Justin Young I found singer/songwriter Justin Young..a Mayer-ish artist from Hawaii whose "All Attached" fit musically lyrically and spiritually
