It always saddened me that a tradition I grew up with- the Alternative mixshow- seemed to die out in the early 00's. I feel like I should be glad it's back.

Now that it's coming back, I almost question the need for it though. I'll admit I don't know how 99X sounds now, but if they're anything like the typical gold-heavy Alternative station, this is going to sound ridculously out of place, and the audience for this type of music isn't listening to the radio.

I'm all in favor of stuff like M83 and Skrillex getting into Alternative rotations, but specialty shows like this seem like almost an anachronism in a PPM-measured, on-demand world.
