...And It Will Continue To Move Slowly, Without An Assist From B-93.

MY 102, with their new (allegedly) HAWTT AC format, is gaining some ground, but it is, and has been a slow advance. In other markets, the Hot AC butts heads with, and shares pre-set button listeners with a properly programmed CHR. With that said, we can clearly see the blurd line between B-93, and that (Awww-ful) Churban, Hot 98.1
Not long from now, Cox will exit the market, and we'll all have to discuss just what the new owners will do. However, the problem for MY...today/now is that they don't have a correct CHR to butt heads with. If B-93 was runnin' on all eight cylinders, then MY 102 would have faired quicker growth. There is an assist there, without question, when the performances are parallel.

I'm thinking MY is holding B-93.7 back some. They've never done great as a CHR, but have done better than they are doing now. B-93 and MY, give or take a few tenths of a point, are neck and neck. I always figured MY was to wedge between Entercom's CHR (B) and AC (Magic). If that was their goal, it seems to be working in the latest book as B is right around where MY is, and Magic is not doing well at all. Of course, ChuckFM is holding Magic back, also.

I think MY is doing a pretty decent job with Hot AC. I haven't been listening much this week with X98.5, but they have gotten their act together.

I know you guys can't talk enough about Bananna 3.7 or MY, especially. However, if you want to hear a major market sounding CHR it's happening 6pm-6am on 103.3 Spin FM (www.1033SpinFM.com). The mix starts out with more of a lean toward Hot AC before rolling toward the younger end as the evening spins on. 20 minutes of 103.3 Spin FM and (I'm gonna try my best Scooter here) B93.7 will sound like an 'ole bananna looks after being left with the peel open on day 3. And, the 'Fresh' new sound....well... that's like how Food Lion used to pull old meat off the shelves, bleach it, and then put back out on the shelves for another "fresh" run.

I really want to like your station, but still wish the "mix" was, well, less of a mix. At least when I've listened, song after song is a more or less a dance remix. That's fun for bit, but continuously, I can't listen. I've said it before and that's probably what the "spin" aims to be. Anyway, I'm probably just not in the demographic you're going for. Just thought I'd give some honest feedback. I do wish you do well as your station is quite different than anything else in town.

I agree. If there weren't so many dance mixes, you'd have me.

Before we get to our next, long-awaited, reply post, the following comedy bit is brought to you in-part by: The new drive-through breast implantment service, "Jiffy Boob",...and by "KY Jelly". It's not just for the state of Kentucky anymore!
*Hey Marv, whatcha got there? A picture of Michael Phelps new girlfriend. Wow, she's HAWTT! What's that other thing? An application for swimmin' leasons. But...Marv, you already know how to swim.....NOT THIS GOOD!
*Now, on to our post...where we would like to thank Charter member of the Think Tank, CraigD for posting good quality dee-cusion, and giving us a great visual, using a common produce item. In this case, the "Monkeyfruit Nongradda"! All of us should give a listen to what this man is working very hard on (Nights on 103.3), and to my understanding John Ellis is lending his air talents. I certainly hope Entercom Management is listening. Before John was ankled at MAGIC, Consultants told him to talk less, and play more records. The same songs that I keep pointing-out as DEAD! That Awww-ful playlist! If you ponder that I'm wrong, just look at the level of Listenership, Ratings, and Revenue.
I'm simply right by defalt!
So, Say-eth The Sheppard, So Say-eth The Flock,
Scootimus Maximus!
