And The Burn-Outs Just Keep On Comin'

Lezzdewit! It was suggested by Penrod and it seems like a good idea, so why the hell not! I've had only two Molson Lites, so I'm not even as buzzed as I wuz when I started the "stiffs" thread, but let's see if this horse has legs. A song that's been played in Buffalo and across America and Canada on AC, Oldies, Classic Rock, Classic Hits and even Hot AC stations. My nomination for burn out song Nummmmmmberrrr One, one, one, one Crocodile Rock from Sir Elton John.

Ooh, ooh! Let me pick a double-shot!

"Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" by Rupert Holmes

"Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett.

Michelle, Beats. You've Got A Friend, James Taylor. Alone Again (Naturally), Gilbert "go dive off that tower already" O'Sullivan.

But wait, there's more!

"All By Myself" - Eric Carmen

"You Light Up My Life" - Debbie Boone

For Classic Rock stations, Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In the Wall" has to be one of the crispiest songs ever. It may have surpassed "Stairway to Heaven" or "Freebird" in the deep fryer. Any one of these three will get me to convert Time Spent Listening to Time Stopped Listening.

I'd Really Love to See You Tonight - England Dan and John Ford Coley
Just Remember I love You - England Dan and John Ford Coley
I Just Want to Stop - Gino Vanelli (even though I still like it)
Rocket Man - Elton John
Your Song - Elton John
Only The Good Die Young - Billy Joel
Piano Man - Billy joel
Just The Way You Are - Billy Joel
Fire and Rain - James Taylor

All great songs but all way overplayed. These artists did record other good songs! Actually it was more fun coming up with the stiffs!

Boston was pretty good for the first 753 plays of "More Than A Feeling," then, pfffftt, enough already.

Pretty much anything from Rob Thomas with or without Matchbox 20.

The one exception is "Smooth" and that's only because of Santana's guitar playing.
