and the Christmas season begins....... NOW!

I was in a local pharmacy yesterday October 9th. As I walked around looking for Shave cream.... It suddenly hit me. I had accidently entered the Christmas Zone. A full aisle of Christmas lights and other assorted Christmas products such as cards and various Christmas decorations.

20 days till Halloween. Aproximately 45 days until Thanksgiving. 75 days before Christmas. But this Pharmacy is already in full Christmas mode. We live in a world of insanity! I'm betting that the Christmas music will start earlier than ever this year.

There are two S-es in Chri$tma$ and they're both dollar signs--Stan Freberg, 1960 (Green
Chri$tma$). Oh, sorry, I must be PC-- "Holiday$". At a time when retail is more desperate than ever to get business, and some don't mind the idea of shopping early (how early? maybe Dec 26!) this will continue. For that matter, radio stations also are happy that we have many elections
this fall and they'll make money off that.

Just as they will make money off many ads for shopping during "the season". Certainly there
will be a slight lull after that and you'll hear the "1-877-KARS-4-KIDS" spots again, many times.
(Though don't count on not hearing them at all--those who support 'good causes' know people
are in a spending mood at the end of the year)

"Five tubeless tires!...and some tooth polish on a pear tree!"

I realize that retail is a business. But I also realize that there are trees full of green leaves outside my window. Nobody should be talking Christmas yet. Crazy.. Crazy... Crazy!

You wanna talk crazy? In reality you're about a month and a half too late. In late August NBC Connecticut posted on their Facebook Page pictures of the Christmas Display at the Kohl's in Manchester, Connecticut.

Holy cow. No wonder my Psychiatrists office is always full of people. The world IS crazy! At least I'm honest enough to get help. There are countless wackos walking the streets who think they are perfectly normal. All I can do is shake my head and wonder where the world went wrong. OK.... I have to hurrry along. I need to make it to the store before they close so I can buy Burgers for The 4th of July cookout.
