And the new format is...

Now 97.5
It's going to be a Hot AC

First song: Pink - Who Knew

Or a Mainstream AC. They said "a younger approach to Today's Soft Rock". They'retrying to be a younger sounding B101. But, it's still crap.

Soft AC, going directly at B101. I never thought someone would challenge the B on their own turf (Ben FM, 106.1, and WOGL notwithstanding; they don't do exactly what the B does). They obviously have their work cut out for them. I wish them good luck however. It would be great to have a legitimate radio war.

I find the "we're new, B101 is old" approach to marketing themselves. Don't know if it's accurate (their playing an 80s song right now), but it's intriguing.

Best of luck GM and Now 97.5. Don't hurt Ben FM too much.

Ok. The station sounds like crap. Someone asleep at the wheel decided this would work.

John Tesh gets a new home in Philly...right?
I mean...why else would they do it?

Or is there competition to John now?
Besides Delilah...lol

Outside of those two, this is all very strange and it will not last.

If they needed to clear John Tesh that bad, he could have been doable when they were smooth jazz. Tesh's show is carried on all kinds of formatted stations. He could have single-handedly saved WJJZ if they marketed his show properly - or would the addition of his show thwart Broadcast Dilapidation Architecture's plans?
