...AND THE SCORE IS: Jody Dean - 1 Management - ZERO

Congratulations must be in order!

It appears that Jody finally indeed got everything he was promised by David Henry. Last Saturday morning, as Jody was flying solo, apparently to get some board time in, he "introduced" KLUV listeners to Beth "Wilson." And today, it was Jonathan Hayes who magically appeared on the phone with Jody. So that's two out of the three "promised" sidekick staff. Any bets on who will be next...and when?

Jack, are ya out there somewhere? Still doing that "old school" thing?

And by the way, Craig, will you be checking out soon? And what about Mitch, Kathy, etc? (Nobody cares about Nancy Jay!)

Oh yeah Nancy Jay.When Randy White former Dallas Cowboy suffered a neck injury which lead to his retirement from the team, Nancy said to Pete Gardener on the air at KRLD "Sounds like Randy has been Necking too much". Nancy was gone from KRLD in a month. She is over rated, and over paid. When she was at WBAP she spent her time reading magazines between her "talk" time and never "prepped". Small wonder why she didn't stay long there. The new PDat KLUV could save money by cutting her.

May depend on her tactics in convincing him to keep her around. Recall one station where the new manager had to choose between two women as to which he would let go. The skirts got so short and the jeans so tight for awhile that everyone else was afraid THEY would be fired and both the women would stay. And of course the reverse game is played when a new woman manager is brought in and the fat cutting will take place among the station's male staff.

Oh what a tangled web we weave
When pink slips we don't want to receive.

Somehow I think our resident poet, Ed, will expand on this rhyming couplet. Ed???

OH WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE
with pink slips we receive
be male or female
we see it coming and then we bail
will it be between the sexes?
SURELY NOT IN TEXAS!
Will the man from Cincy,
examine things like the old ME "Quincy?
will his diagnosis
lead to an exodus?
In Infinity we trust
what time is the next bus?
Edited by edwardrmurrow on 06/19/05 05:10 AM.

Once again, a magnificent performance, Ed, poet laureate of broadcasting.

Ah, yes. Nancy Jay. The Murphy Brown of radio. She still has the horses winnowing...Frau Blucher

That's f**ing hilarious!. To bad everybody in management
has to be so PC and holier than thou as they snicker the
same jokes off air. Goodness knows, we wouldn't want to
offend anyone!. Of course, I'm not a Cowboys fan, and could
care less about them, so I'm in the minority.

Just a heads up

Note to the ladies: the short skirt/tight jeans tactic won't work with your new PD. Understand?

Hey, it works with me!

(wait a minute, I'm not a PD...)
