And the second Christmas station in WA goes to...

First it was that new KYXE 104.9 in Yakima, and now Kiss 98.1 KISC has flipped to Christmas music and ho-ho-ho. In my opinion, still way too early (get thru Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving first!) No one has flipped in Seattle but I wonder if KRWM will next week...shhh!

KISC is likely "Number 1" now

KYXE is now Hispanic Christian, fed from the same network that includes stations in Sunnyside, Pasco and Othello on that side of the state. "North Pole Radio" is no more in Yakima.

So now KYXE is "La Familia" (aka KVAN-1560 simulcast?) What a waste of channel!!

Another update (11/25 today) - KONA 105.3 all Ho Ho Ho down in the Tri-Cities now.

Well, as I said when this topic came up about Everett, I doubt the new operators would agree with you.

I'd bet there are those who would just as likely consider 24/7/365 Christmas music a waste of bandwidth.

At least, in this case, the new format has an audience.
