Fantastic Word Game is up to Page 725.
About a dozen people play that game and there are two thread nazi's who rule the thread. Here's one that's a hoot: Kink Tutt, Steve Martin.

All comers are welcome at Fantastic Word Game.

By the way, Hully Gully - The Olympics

"Talk Talk" - Music Machine

"I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night" - Electric Prunes

"I Think We're Alone Now" - Rubinoos

Music Machine and Prunes were B-I-G hits. I believe The Music Machine even opened for The Rolling Stones (along with The Syndicate of Sound---Hey Little Girl---and The Standells--Dirty Water---) on their 1965 tour.

For that matter, Jimmy Cliff was a fairly big hit, too. He didn't open for the Stones, though, at least not in 1965.

Never knew The Vapors covered "Talk Talk"--if they did (and it's not on the track list of either of their albums) it must have been a single release, and obviously never charted in the US.

Their one song that did chart in the US as a single and got a lot of AOR airplay, "Turning Japanese," became notorious for it's alleged hidden meaning...think Cyndi Lauper's "She Bop" or Frankie Goes to Hollywood's "Relax" and you get the idea.

Alleged hidden meanings?  Hey Bob, you're pretty "fly" for news guy!  Whatever that means!

Going back 88 pages to the very first post which started it all--

"Morning Girl" by Neon Philharmonic peaked at #17 on the Hot 100, maybe not so much a stiff -- but does anyone remember "Morning Girl Parts 1 & 2" ? The "over orchestrated outro" on part 1 - the single version - after a brief interlude continued on for another 2 minutes 40 seconds. I seem to recall it getting played only on the overnight shift.

And while we're digging through the pile of 45's from 1969, how about "Paper Cup" by The 5th Dimension, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WL_8T5WHkU

And one just for the heck of it from '69, "Will You Be Staying After Sunday" by the Peppermint Rainbow.
