Best newspaper columnist: Dan Savage (That's a newspaper nowadays??)
Best radio personality: Lisa Wood

So the only people who voted in this survey are under 30??

As much as I love "best of" more often than not they are vehicles for sales to go out and fluff up the winners to land some potential advertising.

It would be really nice if we had "non-partisan" people doing this kind of research (i.e. some entity with no axe to grind due to $-connections, etc.). By "this kind of research" I mean everything from Arbitrons (how about including ALL competitive media, including non-comm's, etc. if you're REALLY studying listening habits and not just whose commercials got heard) to "most popular this or that".

NOT condemning this survey ... we have to accept that these are done in fun and don't really mean anything. But just venting that it WOULD be nice that if someone goes to the effort of doing these things that we actually get results that we could trust and use to understand what's going on in our little 'hoods.

Hey now, Adam is a good guy. I went to college with him at University of Puget Sound and he was always a good guy and a lot of fun to hang around with. How he is on TV is exactly how he is in real life and I believe people pick up on that.

Having said that: This is a survey that is indeed targeted toward the younger crowd. Look at the categories.
For the record, nobody in their right mind would vote Robin as best radio personality. I think you might actually have to be on the radio to be in that category.

This isn't sent for bartenders to vote on bartenders, or radio jocks to vote on radio jocks. This is a poll that represents the voters who read the Seattle Weekly, of course the results aren't going to look right to another community. ;)
