And then Atlanta loses a Hip Hop/R&B

Say bye bye to WFOX 97.1(971 Jamz) as they flip to Classic rock as the River.

This move leaves V103, sister 95.5 the Beat, Hot 107.9, sister Kiss 104.1 and 102.5 as the Urban/Urban AC targeted facilities.<P ID="signature">______________

<font color=3333ff>Coming from the East Coast, I thought you'd actually prefer the music that they played on 97.1

I'm amazed. Cuz the East Coast don't like Souther Crunk Rap, but 97.1 was all about the so called "heritage" Hip Hop.

<font color=3333ff>Correction, Atlanta is Dirty South Crunk. Which is one reason why 97.1 didn't work (no jocks only part of it.)

Macon, GA
Albany, GA

All Dirty South Crunk.

That aint East coast to me. That's Virginia Beach, NYC, Philly, Boston, Baltimore........ that's East Coast to me.. and you can especially tell the difference with the music.

It seems like that Cox didn't put any money to 97.1 Jamz. It was automated all day without any jocks. Plus their playlist was a wreck to begin with. When I heard it online, I said wtf. It had no direction. I wasn't sure whether it was an urban or an urban ac. If they played more old school southern artists such as outkast, goodie mob, cool breeze, geto boys, three six mafia, scarface, master p, etc. along with the newer crunk rap, they would of survive.
