And you thought Tucker Carlson was bad

He's been replaced on The Situation (at least for tonight) by the one guy more obnoxious than Carlson, Jim Rome, Sean Hannity, and Geraldo Rivera combined.

That's right, I'm talking about Max Kellerman, the most annoying and egomainiacal sports guy in television history - even worse than Rome or Howard Cosell. What in the world is MSNBC thinking and why is he attempting to do something resembling a news-oriented talk show?

I'm using the term "news-oriented" very loosely. As I write this, he's interviewing an aging Elvis impersonator who is a dead ringer for FNC's Cal Thomas. The subject is the death of Elvis, of course.

I have yet to figure out what exactly "The Situation" at MSNBC is supposed to be. At times, it seems like they're trying a different take on The Daily Show, but with more of a conservative slant. Even then - I'm not sure "conservative" is quite the right word. I mean, it's not as conservative as Scarborough or O'Reilly, but I suppose it is to the right of center.

I do think that between callers and Rachel Maddow, that the show does do a better job of offering a progressive point of view; something not seen *at all* on most other shows. And Maddow can hold her own against Carlson, which is also refreshing.

I will say that I am surprised that it's turned out that my favorite segment of the show is the viewer voicemails and the "cutting room floor". The "tomorrow's news tonight" isn't half bad either, because no one else on cable usually has a live show at that hour.

Max Kellerman is definatly not annoying, this show is just like "I,MAX" just the news verison of it (as its produced by Bill Wolff)..Max Kellerman is not annoying, he is funny and brings very strong view to the table.
