Anderson Cooper Daytime

Was watching TMZ last night and the station ran a promo "Anderson Cooper Daytime Coming this Fall to MY TV 9". No word if they'll share the show with sister station WTNH NEWS 8. What other stations are carrying this show? Are the the affiliates mostly The Big 3 - ABC, CBS, and NBC? Or are the affilates mostly the independents i.e. FOX, CW, My Network TV, or true independents?

FOX O&O KTTV-11 in Los Angeles is carrying The Coop round these parts.

Will he be replacing the Dr. Oz timeslot?
I saw a promo for the new "Father Albert" show, all I did was laugh and say "is this a joke?"

As expected/predicted, KTVF in Fairbanks will be carrying Anderson Cooper's show; dunno if it will occupy Oprah's soon-to-be-former 3:00 slot (with Dr. Oz and Ellen staying put at 4:00 and 5:00).

In Anchorage, KTVA may be getting Anderson as well and putting him on at 4:00 (also replacing Oprah).

I'm pretty surprised that with all these new post-Oprah talk show entries none of the syndicators experimented with a "late night style" daytime talk show.

I only briefly saw the promo slide the other night so I could be wrong but I think the show will air in the morning pattern (10 or 11).

They have Hartford/New Haven wrong already! They incorrectly list WCTX-TV (MY) of New Haven as "channel 9". Are they really going to double run it in the same day, on the same station? Something tells me, it should read this way:

WTNH-TV (ABC) channel 8 New Haven, M-F @ 9 AM
WCTX-TV (MY) channel 59 New Haven, M-F @ 5 PM

The stations are sisters of one another and share a studio at 8 Elm Street in New Haven. As for the Channel 9 part, they're getting WCTX-TV's MY-TV 9 slogan wrong. That's their analog cable position for those who may still watch them that way. I don't think using their old analog number of 59 or current digital number of 39 would matter now anyways.

That's how they run Dr. Phil. The episode that air at 9AM on Channel 8 airs at 6PM on MY TV 9. Meanwhile the Judge Judy that airs 4PM-5PM on Channel 8 IS NOT the same that airs on MY TV 9 7PM-8PM. The 7PM-8PM episodes are OLD SCHOOL episodes of Judge Judy. And not that I care what's if Anderson Cooper is gonna air at 9AM on Channel 8, where's Dr. Phil going?

Seattle: Looks like KING 5 and KONG 16 will air it, 16 w/ a rerun from the KING airing. To Be Announced for time, but likely taking over Oprah @ 4pm once her best-of eps end in September.

KTTV is going with a 5pm newscast starting September 12th, the same day Dr. Oz moves over to KABC. I believe the Father Albert show is another those trial-run shows that Fox likes to do every year (like with Fran Drescher, Craig Kilborn, and Wendy Williams--before she was officially picked up). Expect a lot of scheduling changes in the afternoon daypart on 11 in the fall.

Father Albert will air for five weeks starting Monday July 11.

Fox O&O's in NYC, LA, Dallas, Phoenix, Tampa and Minneapolis.

And of course, if the test run goes well, Fox is hoping for a nationwide debut this fall or early next year.

It will be interesting to see how KTTV will do against the big three (ABC, NBC, CBS) at 5PM, I've always wondered why they never bothered introducing a 6PM broadcast, as they fare well at 10.

The Fran Drescher talk show was better than most talk shows out there right now, I'm surprised FOX didn't pick it up. The Kilborn File could have worked but the guests on the show were NOBODYS, plus his humor had dried out tremendously since CBS.
