Andrea Robinson Life after Fox 10 News

If you had met Andrea Robinson in 2010, you would think she had it all — a hunky husband, a sweet baby, and a sought-after job as the co-host of the Fox News morning show in Phoenix, Arizona.

Robinson worked hard to secure her role at the company after starting her adult career as an intern with the station. It took her several years to climb the ranks from morning traffic correspondent to co-host, and she loved every minute.

“It was a dream job and I was given this amazing responsibility to wake people up — to start their day with a smile even when the world was heavy and chaotic and messy,” she says.

The families that tuned in allowed Robinson and others into their homes every day, which she is deeply appreciative of. But her life wasn’t perfect, mostly because Robinson and husband Chris had hit a roadblock — $52,000 in consumer debt they had racked up.

While their spending was never entirely over the top, they simply hadn’t made the effort to live within their means. Unfortunately, they had started noticing how debt was holding them back, and how it was making life more stressful than it needed to be.

One of them is about debt.

Andrea never made any secret she felt guilty she could not be a professional TV host as well as a mom to two young kids. In addition, Chris, her husband is a firefighter and has his own schedule to keep. Life in that household must have been chaos. Personally, I think she made the right call and the entire family seems very content with the changes they've made. I know the secret to my family was living below my means so that my wife could be a stay-at-home mom for most of the time. I would not have done it any other way.

Congratulations to Chris and Andrea for making a very difficult decision and making it work.

On Thursday 18 July, Andrea appeared on 3TV's Good Morning Arizona. She talked about her blog. I thought it was a nice segment.
