Andrew Gold

Am I the first to report the death of Andrew Gold.
LONELY BOY & THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND.
The 2nd of course made more popular when used
as theme from GOLDEN GIRLS.
(IMO the far better of the two songs)

I also remember him being the band leader/guitar/piano for Linda Rondstat's road band; along with Michael Botts, and Waddy Watell. I saw them at the Greenville Memorial Auditorium in '76. He opened for her with a short set of his stuff, before she came out...sorta double-duty for he and his band. Note: this was back when she was "HAWTT", and men actually wanted to nail her. Not true today!
