Back in January this year, I was listening to KMGL and around 5-6PM that Friday evening after their "Awesome 80s Weekend" had started at 3PM, KMGL played "Angel" by Aerosmith for their Awesome 80s Weekend and I really enjoyed listening to that song. Although KMGL haven't or probably didn't add that song to their regular playlist, but I wish they really did. KMGL did played Aerosmith's "Crazy" and "Cryin'" a little bit for quite some times, but not regularly. I believed "Angel" would fit the AC format very well. I know it's a little too upbeat for the AC format, but I think it would really sound good on AC's. I also think "Crazy" and "Cryin'" would really sound good on AC's as well.
Hot AC's never played Aerosmith's "Angel" in the past 6-12 years. All Hot AC's played is "Crazy", "Cryin'", and "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith back in 2009-10. Most Aerosmith's songs (including their 70s, 80s, and 90s songs) are played on Adult Hits anyways.
I know many AC's out there have already started playing upbeat 80s songs by Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, The Outfield, and Journey's (upbeat songs), but why not some Aerosmith's (upbeat songs) besides "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing"? Any Thoughts?
