She worked for my bud BJ Hunter when he programmed the KOOL combo.
She certainly brought something fresh to the Valley in the mid to late 80's (?) 1988 ?
Wild woman, passionate, inspired,
you'd like her azenergy fan
she had super duper energy
wonder if she still does
hope the rumor is true

Leykis was a fan of hers when they were both in the market.

I worked with Angela at KOOL. She was very intense. To see her in action, doing her show, was a show in itself. She was jacked up on radio, a whilrling dervish of big 80's hair and long gangly limbs cluching a blade and a grease pencil. She was a master of tape and blade and getting that caller montage rewound to air in 3 seconds, rolling it and hitting the post, all the while causing the listeners to tilt their heads like dogs in wonderment.

Truly a great radio talent.

Wow she sounds great. Does anyone have a aircheck of hers you can post to you send it or a file share program? Would love to hear her in action!

Hey, that's great! It's been a long time since I've heard her on Phoenix radio. Didn't she also work at KOOL in the mid 90's too?

Yes. She did seven-to-mid, I think around 1995. Unless it was 6-10 p.m. then. I loved listening to her. Excellent content, good humor, she has it all. Not a big talker, but makes every word count, whether discussing a local event or her desire for the latest computer. A must-listen. And there aren't many of those around.

I was a big fan of hers, too. It would be great to have her back in Phoenix but unless they're bringing her back to KOOL, I don't know where they'd put her.
Clear Channel, maybe ?

Biteman.net has some of her unscoped shows available. Otherwise, most big air check services have samplings of her work.
Will she return for a third time to KOOL ?

She'd probably do well on the Peak or maybe Mix, if not KOOL.

She also did mid-days on KOOL and Tom Peak was in afternoon drive.
Excellent radio from both of them although the morning guy was pretty haphazard and sloppy.
Someone mentioned BJ Hunter. He's VP of Sports Programming for the Fox Radio Network.

I think she also used to do middays on 93.7 KRQ in Tucson back in the early '90s.

No, I think that was a guy named Jeff Davis, but not the WLS Jeff Davis.

Your 10-2 slots are transposed--Angela did
10pm-2am on Double-Q, aka Three-Letter Radio.

She was Angela "Middays" Allen during her first
run at KOOL circa 1988 as mentioned above. Did
she replace the immortal Bob Polk in that slot?
(And did Bob ever have a sense of humor? ;-)
