Well expect more problems at future Olympic games.Rollo-Smokes said:sorry to disappoint you, but NBC has rights to air every Olympics until at least 2020.
But let's be real here (coming from someone who watched not a single minute of these recent games), would the complaints be any different if, say, ESPN had them? I don't think so.
justpassingthough said:I watched very little of the Olympics coverage, but it had nothing to do with NBC's rather poor coverage. Lets face it- the Olympics as sports are somewhat boring- and don't have the same intrigue to many viewers that some of America's professional sports present. Why does everyone always assume that NBC is botching coverage, when it appears to me that they're really just trying to make stew out of a sh*t sandwich? As far back as I can remember, the Olympics have always been two weeks of slowly molesting people's emotions by trying to turn every sport and every event into some sort of human interest story and/or competition between athletes from the same country or athletes amongst rival countries? Its terribly manipulative television- its like bad reality television presented by America's top sports announcing talent.
Bash NBC all you want, because of the coverage I watched, it was downright painful, but I think an equal share falls on the IOC for continuing to stuff this global wankfest down our throats every 4 years.
I won't take a position on this. My name refers to an early and softer version of what is often called Jack FM in radio. You can figure out why I called it that. And look at your keyboard to know why I made a typo.oldiesfan6479 said:Maybe CBS can bring back Me And The Chimp. ;D
