Ann Coulter Hangs Up on Steve & Vikki...Tomorrow

If you want to hear Ann Coulter hang up on Steve & Vikki, tune to B98.5 tomorrow morning at 7:20 :D.

The interview was pre-recorded today. Ms. Coulter was on to promote her new book, and Steve & Vikki brought in a handwriting expert to analyze her signature. When Steve & Vikki told her, she said, "Well you two have fun with that" and hung up.

Ann Coulter knows being outrageous made her rich and famous. But lately she's gone a little beyond the realm of remotely normal behavior.

Turn on "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" every night on MSNBC at 8 PM. Ann is on Keith's "Worst Person" list often (he calls her "Coultergeist"), and this incident might make his list tonight. ("Bill-O The Clown" Bill O'Reilly and "Comedian" Rush Limbaugh are among his targets).

Apparently, she reportly broke down in tears and pitched a temper-tantrum until she got to hawk her book on NBC's Today Show...apparently, the book bashes NBC and the "liberal" media. (I wouldn't read the book if I had to...If I were given a copy, I would deposit the book into the nearest toxic waste facility).

The AJC reported on the incident with Steve and Vikki. It's a good that interview was pre-recorded...you never know when she could blow up. She could have called Steve or Vikki communists or socialists had the interview proceeded.

From "The View" on Monday http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28638496/

Ann Coulter has made a fortune doing her schtick.....just like Rush and Baby Jesus. You are naive if you think she broke down in tears over what was NBC's tantrum, not hers. That ban sold thousands, if not millions of books for her. Those were tears of joy my boy.......
Too bad most media people - especially the ones lacking in mental/intellectual density - tow the standard liberal biases. It's "in" to bash conservatives and most of the other media weenies fall into lock-step.
I'd love to hear someone like William Buckley "interview" one of our fine morning hosts and explore their grasp of any political, economic, or moral issue. Most of these folks should stick to reviewing "American Idol."

What's funny is that Ann's book is about how liberals supposedly play victim all the time, while Ann and others like her play the victim card just as much, usually about how the media is picking on them.

Everyone is missing the point; Steve and Vicki had a "Handwriting analyst?" Wow... lets do WACKY radio with Ann Coulter. Ratings WINNER... uh... NO.

Yeah, that was almost like a 'jumping the shark' moment for Steve and Vikki.

Doesn't that statement also apply to pretty much every radio morning show in the country? If you can hang up on morning DJ's AND raise Keith UberMann's blood pressure you are doing society a favor.

I guess she just wanted to hang up on a radio station after Adam Carolla hung up on her a while back.

"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren't punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That's war. And this is war."

"We just want Jews to be perfected, as they say." --arguing that it would be better if we were all Christian.

"These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by griefparrazies. I have never seen people enjoying their husband's deaths so much." -on 9/11 widows who have been critical of the Bush administration

"My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building."

"Press passes can't be that hard to come by if the White House allows that old Arab Helen Thomas to sit within yards of the President."

So, these are just a few of the jewels from Ms. Coulter. An extremist in every sense of the word. These hang ups and tantrums and such make her a lot of money.

So, if one finds her funny, I certainly understand that the fringes of one's belief make for a good laugh. An entertainer? Certainly. Opinionated to the extreme? Of course. Admirable? Hardly.

One reason I like her is that she gets people upset to the point of not only knowing about her, but STUDYING her EVERY WORD and knowing her quotes in great detail. :) I find that amusing and admirable for her getting attention and being very successful. I also admire her guts in thwarting the PC Police.

I actually Google'd her quotes on this thing called the Internet, not pulled them from memory. So, your gauge for admiration is getting attention by any means necessary and being famous for it? I guess she shares picture space in your locker with Hitler, Charles Manson, and Stalin...

I thought the bit was brilliant.
Who wanted to hear her rant and rave
for the 100th time.
Have you ever heard her quote about 9/11?
I think she's got some real problems,but
anyway kudo's to Steve and Vicky for
doing something entertaining with a
guest.

This post sums it all up. Take the "Entertainment Tonight" approach to issues and not have a real discussion among informed hosts/guests/listeners.
The inane and insipid seems to "entertain" a large segment of the population - possibly because we are too ignorant to discuss differences on issues in any other way.
What America and the world need is MORE ill informed media types "entertaining" us with abject stupidity.
Stick to critiques of Paris Hilton's wardrobe.....was that a cameltoe in Madonna's spandex??....and is Madonna too old to show us a cameltoe??......those are topics you guys can handle.
Leave the heavy lifting to professionals........

TaylorEngineer's profound wisdom makes ME proud to be an American. Nice to know that there are other folks who are as disgusted with the "talk of the town" as I am.

Count me in buddy.

Ann's profound wisdom make me proud to be an American.

Two early candidates for "Post of The Year" right there.
