Annette Funicello dies at age 70

Annette had five top-40 hits in 1959-60: Tall Paul, First Name Initial, O Dio Mio, Pineapple Princess and Train Of Love. In 1965 she sang the theme to Disney's The Monkey's Uncle movie, backed by a group called the "Beach Boys." Perhaps some of you have heard of them. Here is the video:

I also remember high charter "My Heart Became Of Age". Maybe the flip of First Name Initial. Did well in Illinois.
I believe the Six Teens w Trude Williams & Rosie Hamlin were from your area. Are they still performing? I saw Rosie 10 yrs ago at Star Plaza in Indiana.
