This has nothing to do with radio....a historical event happened in the toronto media on Oct 30th......The Toronto Telegram newspaper folded on Oct 30, 1971 and then on Nov 1, 1971....the toronto sun started publishing.

Does anyone remember those events? I have the both papers and they are in soso condition.

WOW! They're both a keeper, but you're dating yourself! lol!
It's just a little before my time, but I've seen a copy with the words "This it it" on the cover of the Telegram. Havn't seen the first Toronto Sun though.
What was the minimum wage back then?
Hard to believe it was only 15 cents for the daily paper back then! WOW! It's 75 cents today!
I gather you also have the 1977 "Elvis died" edition of the sun too?

I don't have the Elvis paper...I do have the 20th anniversary edition of the Sun and I think I have the 100th birthday from the Star...I also have the 150th birthday edition of the Montreal Gazette.

Got the last sunday edition of the L.A Herald Examiner which was from Oct 29th, 1989
