Dont know about you all but I am sick of hearing these annoying jocks especially on the 60's channel, if I wanted to hear chatter I can just tune into my FM or AM band. We have to pay for this and the song lists are becoming less and less since the merger...I have Sirius in my car and XM at home and they are so repititious....no competition means they can do whatever and we suffer....who wants to hear Young and the other jocks on first wave and alt nation and that annoying girl on hair metal....it stinks at least music choice has no chatter and plays a broader variety and its free....something has to be done I have been listening to T radio more and more and the satellite less and less which is nuts...

It would be nice if the 60s channel would return to what they were before the merger.

When did you just notice the jocks on Satellite radio? XM has been around since 2001 and you act like the jocks just started this week. You didn't know all of a sudden what you were purchasing?

At this point in time, watching my box fans in the windows run is more entertaining than the repetitious SiriusXM (of which I was a huge fan until right after summer began).

The decade channels were better when run by XM. Sirius has ruined them.

The whole service was better when run by XM. XM had, imho, more people dedicated to the idea of good and interesting radio. Low-numbers channels like Fine Tuning and Beyond Jazz were wonderfully diverse examples of "good radio" that Sirius killed off to squeeze in a few more segmented rock channels.

XM did a better job of jukeboxing the channels that fit that style (like top tracks) and putting live voices on the ones that benefitted from it (60's/70's and XMU for example).

They also had better music programmers. The aforementioned XMU, Fred and the like are just jokes now, playing mainstream music passed off as 'alternative'. ::)

Well said Sam.

Amen, Sam. Funny you should mention XMU and Fred; the gutting of those channels made me cancel my subscription.

I noticed right before the merger XM put on Radio Rock Random on 162 sort of a mix of all types rock...Sirius did not pick this up...

Agreed. Sirius has ruined music on XM. I listened to Fred and Top Tracks almost all the time but now they both are the same old stuff I can hear on FM radio. The decade channels are a hopeless morass of about 500 songs on each one played to death. I also miss XM 2 which had some nice unique programming and I can't stand Willie's Place now. Everytime I turn on Channel 13 I hear someone yacking and taking fricking phone calls. Just shut up and play some classic country. Also I wish that Channel 10 would play more 50's country music and drop the 80's.

There should be two classic country stations. One for approximately 1950-1974 and one for approximately 1975-1999. I just don't care much for country after the mid 1970's and I hate having to wade through it to hear some older country music. Another complain is that we can't have a classic R&B channel really irks me. I mean artists like Big Joe Turner, Lavern Baker, Hank Ballard, Etta James and others in that Genre.

I only keep XM for MLB games and coverage of Big Ten sports. If they drop the Big Ten coverage I think I will cancel and just get the package from MLB.com and listen to Rollye James online. Like all good things it must come to an end.

I can deal with the jocks.and soundbites of tv,movies,But when sirius trash xm's 70's and 80's version of Casey Kasems AT40's by hacking the shows to save time, was a joke, now i'm no longer subscriber to them anymore.I rather listen to the whole complete 3 to 4 hour shows with commercials on the ole radio for free.anyway on the 80's channel,it was nice to hear the old MTV jocks voices again.now as we know ,MTV sucks now.

I miss XM2 also. I really loved Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour and Marty Stewarts show. Now I can't find them, even though I know they are still out there somewhere.
