Annoying Radio Commercials

As annoying as Larry Miller's Sit-N-Sleep spots are, they made him the largest matress retailer west of the Mississippi. I have, as yet, to stop in one of their stores.

"Free credit report dot com" is another annoying spot, and a sham to boot. I wouldn't try their service with someone else's money.

Usually, when I'm alone in my car, I listen to my iPod; however, my wife likes "Jack."

OMG... i can not stand the lipo zap commercial... "tired of those stubborn bulges and lovehandles?" blah blah blah...

or their other version of it...
Girl 1: Hey! Have you heard that Lipo-Zap is having a sale on muffin tops?
Girl 2: Oooh! I love muffin tops!
Girl 1: No not those kinds of muffin tops. The kind where fat hangs over the top of your jeans.
Girl 2: Ew!

Ugh.... annoying!

I hate the new ' Tahiti Village ' spots featuring Rosanne and George Noory. I guess Tanya Roberts got tired of doing them.

The Mike Diamond plumbing one featuring the two girls I found rather funny. It's a white making fun of redneck type of thing:
' I wish I could find a good plumber.'
' Just don't make the mistake I did and hire a Bubba. I hired a Bubba once and he showed up all dirty ........'

I second on the Tahiti Village junk. Anything that tries to sound like a conversation or interview when it's really a sales pitch just bugs the snot out of me.

At least the stupid DiTech spots aren't running saturation anymore ;D

speaking of Mike Diamond Plumbing...what the hell is a pocket donut?

I dont think this runs anymore, but I hated running a Lo Jack spot that had about 5 seconds of silence within the spot. It always made jump and look at my board.

That reminds me....when I'm driving, I don't like any commercial with road noises (sirens, horns, squealing brakes or crashes) in it...

Pardon the lapse into radio history, but I'm older, so that's what I do. In the 60s, my mother would go leaping for the volume control knob every time the "Sav-On Radio Bargain of the Day" commercial came on on. She hated it. As I remember, Sav-On advertised on almost every LA radio station in those days, with the exception of KHJ, which seemed to have an exclusive deal with competitor Thrifty Drug Store.

Radio jingles were much more common in those days. To stand out, the Sav-On jingle was very loud and intrusive, and was made to sound like a military band, with all male singers. Everybody my age who grew up in LA could still sing it, no doubt - and it shows up in 60s air checks of KFWB.

I'll second the thought about the donation of cars by the little sh*t. Enough!

Also free credit report.com. I'd like to be like Belushi in ANimal House when he
picks up the guitar the folkie is playing and smashes it.

Thanks for the reminder about free credit report dot com... That would be my #2. Ever notice the disclaimer that you are required to enroll in their credit protection service (for a fee) for your "free" credit report?? What a sham!!
DITTOS!!!!!! I cannot stand that stupid spot!!! IT has to be one of the Top 10 MOST ANNOYING spots of all time!!!!!
