Another AJC plug...

Doesn't it make you wonder what the news writers, columnists, and editorial writers think about having their words hi-jacked.

Exactly. This is not the choice of the writers. When all of Cox was combined into the Cox Media Group, the idea was to use all company assets to promote all other company assets. The mention of now 95.5 FM unfairly hurts the credibility of the credible writers.

I think this need to be bought to the attention of FCC during their license renewal next year. Cox should no longer get a cross ownership waiver. The shameless part is they pointed out the FM simulcast in Royal Marshall's obit.

I thought it is in the AJC as sarcasm. I have always read it like that.

Kinda like News Corp. being under scrutiny in New York for their ownership of the Post, along with two TV stations including one which serves NYC but their transmitter is in Secaucus, NJ - they're getting flak for "not serving the public interest of New Jersey" very much... Yet, AJC has no problems whatsoever serving the public interest of WSB's simulcast now on FM!

Cox certainly didn't donate a dime to the FCC director's boss for his election campaign or any other political candidate now did they? What they (the FCC) say and what they pay (the largest corporations) are the real news story that will not get coverage. I see no violations here...waive them on through. Pay at the window. Smile. Business as usual.

Anne Cox Chambers has been a bigtime Dem donor for decades...I think she even served as a GA presidential elector for Dem presidential candidates in the past. She was Jimmy Carter's ambassador to Belgium and her dad (James Cox) was the 1920 Dem presidential candidate. She supported Obama for president. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_Cox_Chambers

And a little history Cox's VP candidate for the Democratic ticket in 1920 was Franklin D. Roosevelt. I understand in Cox's platform was a progressive labor idea that workers should be able to start their workday by listening to a long stretch of music on one of those new newfangled wireless devices. Nearly a century later with B98.5 FM's 98@ 9 and 97.1 The River's 97-Minute Commercial-Free Ride, Cox's vision is now a reality.
