Guess Art goosed him! ARTISTIC MEDIA Top 40 WNDV (U93)/SOUTH BEND morning man GOOSE is out. (yes the old " due to the budget line" again. NEXT?

And I guess the decision with 1620 was also due to the budget line too-right??. Terrible situation. 20 years AGO, U93 was rocking (unless you liked Zip 104). Now I agree, its nothing like before.

PS(repetitory question), any more news on 1620 or will it stagnate like it did on 1490(even with a new transmitter location-or has that already happened).

One would've figured they would have kept "Radio Hollywood" on that frequency and, if nothing else, modernized it a bit with a more soft AC presentation...kind of like ABC's Memories format. Since Sunny is, more or less, a hot AC these days, they'd be filling a void in the market being soft AC. The only question...would anyone go to an X-band AM to satisfy their musical tastes.

My mistake. I was thinking back a couple years when WNSN was taking on a more upbeat approach to their music. That's what I get for bringing up a station I haven't listened to for a long period of time for at least a year. :)

Actually, you are correct in that Sunny does have a more upbeat sound to it... it's just that the music is not as current as you'd hear on some Hot AC stations. A lot of the conservative, sleep-inducing Phil Collins/Elton John/Rod Stewart type of stuff isn't being repeated to death as it used to be.
