ANOTHER CHANGE AT HOT

Now it looks like Davey Morris is no longer MD at HOT and is doing PRO-FM APD/MD/PM DRIVE only. Last week it was reported that Bristol was no longer PD at HOT and new PD is Dan Hunt. Maybe this will free Tony and Davey up to go through the trillions of airchecks for the PRO-FM night show. Why does this station literally take months to fill slots? 6-digit earning CEOs get hired in less time.

Also HOT is looking for an MD and also a co-host and producer (is that one or two jobs?) for the morning show with Kerry Collins.

CITADEL Top 40/Rhythmic WWKX (HOT 106.3)/PROVIDENCE's brand-new PD, DAN HUNT, is now handling MD duties at the station. [EDIT]

**and the Co-Host & Producer jobs are two seperate jobs to answer your question.

So is this good or bad for Tony Bristol and Davey Morris?Did they realize on The Trail that some people have been spreading themselves too thin with too much to do or did they realize that these two simply should not be taking care of programming and music at an urban station?

I think more towards spreading them too thin. Davey is handling 2 stations of music & musci calls, an on air gig and assorted corporate meetings (sales, promotions, programming) along with dealing with a consultant. Hell when I was there at Lite & Pro back in the telemedia days, either myself, Tony Mascaro, David Simpson or Tom Holt were in a meeting about something other than programming and then fitting the record reps in was hard and that was only for 2 stations......I can't imagine 2 people doing it for 3 mostly by themselves (Pro, Lite and Hot)
