Another Channel 6 Question.

WCSH 6 here in Portland quite often has lines on the screen even on cable. It's been like that for years.Sometimes it's really bad.Over the years I've had them on two different cable systems and over the air.Any ideas why?

The cable portion may be due to interference from over-the-air channel 6 bleeding through the cable line. You can get the same thing here in greater Hartford with CBS channel 3 of Hartford. That's why Comcast of New Britain and Hartford place channel 3 on cable channel 2. Regardless...check your connections! :)

If it's happening all the time, it's probably ingress. But if it only happens during skip conditions it's probably interference from WLNE in Providence. When I lived and worked in Kennebunk it was really bad during the summer. Channel 10 was even worse; occasionally WJAR would wipe out WCBB!
