Cumulus has suspended WBMQ host Ben Bennett from the airwaves for three days. Any comments?

Well that's one person's opinion and certainly you're entitled to it. But love him or not he's the only intelligent personality left on the air in the area considering what he's surrounded by.

It's dumb if he was suspended, as The Savannah Morning News suggests, because he slammed CBS News. Since when is ideological purity a requisite on talk radio? I've heard conservative talk hosts slam their network news all the time.

Be very suspicious, however, that this is the real reason. It may not be. Hell, I used to hear him ridicule Cumulus on the air and wondered if any of the "suits" were listening!<P ID="signature">______________

That is the reason, so we can witness stupidity reaching a higher level among the higher ups in the company. Be suspect not of the talent, the company however may have alterior motives.

LOOK AT THE RATINGS ON BENNETT FOR THE LAST 2 BOOKS...NOTHING TO BRAG ABOUT...THEY DID MUCH BETTER WITH BORTZ...LAURA MAY HELP TO SALVAGE THE FALL WITH HER TWO HOURS...THERE WAS MORE TO BENNETT'S "SUSPENSION" THEN WHAT YOU MAY HEAR...THE CBS STORY IS A COVER...THAT'S WHAT I HEAR.<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by Braswell on 10/30/05 04:13 AM.</FONT></P>
