First it was Rick Evans...now it's Debbie Kirkland on KOOI/Jacksonville. Just heard her open the mic for the first time and she still sounds as good as the last time I heard her.

Help me out somebody that knows....her last stint was at KTBB/Tyler in the news department or was she jocking somewhere after that? I want to say that 'BB was her last radio gig, but can't be 100% for sure.

That name sort of rings a bell to me. Did she use to do any television work for KLTV some years back? I remember in the late 90s when I was working at KZEY talking to her about working for us. But Russell thinks of it as a big waste of time. But yeah, I remembered Debbie. It's nice to hear her back in radio....in a better facility where you are one of the few to come on board. Good for her.

Don't clearly remember her being at KLTV. Maybe nuzguy knows.

I recall her run at KTBB but can't connect her with KLTV. Seems as if there was a lady at KTBB for awhile who had been at Channel 7 (or vice versa) but it wasn't Debbie Kirkland (or at least I don't think it ws). At least I'm positive I'm not sure.

I knew that he'd come running at the sound of his name!

I think you're thinking about Judy Jordan that did time at both KLTV and KTBB.

Also, I've been listening to KOOI and only heard Debbie the 10AM hour today. I bet she's re-wetting her feet. Rick Evans has been on-air since 11AM.

Judy Jordan I remember. The one I'm thinking about did a rather short stint at both Channel 7 and KTBB. Then she left the market. When I quit trying so hard to remember, I'll remember.

I guess I've been out of the market for too long, because I don't remember Debbie Kirkland. And, she was not at KLTV when I was there in the late 90's.

At least we now know who it wasn't.

How many of the names do any of you remember? (Tyler)

Janie Baker
Gary Stevens
Joel Davis
The Allnighter Karl Baehr
Bobbie Kerns
Janet drake
David Sims
T.J. McKay

> How many of the names do any of you remember? (Tyler)
>
> Janie Baker - Remember her at KTYL and KOOI. Sure wish I knew what happened to her.

> Gary Stevens - He's using his real name, Gary Lesniewski, and he's GM at KVNE 89.5/KGLY 91.3 Christian Radio in Tyler. You can hear him voicetracked on KVNE overnights some as well as doing Sunday mornings on KVNE. For a time, he was doing Jacksonville football on KOOI, but that has been probably 18 years ago. www.encouragementfm.com is the stations' website and there's an e-mail link for him on there, as well.

> Joel Davis - ?

> The Allnighter Karl Baehr - ?

> Bobbie Kerns - She got saved and got out of radio. Heard an interview with her husband a while back and he said what she's doing, but can't remember. I used to listen to her and Bill Davis on KTYL back in the day.

> Janet Drake - She got married (I think her married name is now Fair) and is ramrodding the the Tyler Today magazine. You can find her on TV doing some of the Dow Autoplex commercials (car dealership in Mineola).

> David Sims - ?

> T.J. McKay - ?
>

Here's what I know:

> > Gary Stevens - Different Guy - this one worked at KTYL. He
is presently still working for Pacesetter Corp. in Little Rock
under his real name.

> > Joel Davis - working in NYC at a major hotel, using his
real name.
>
> > The Allnighter Karl Baehr - now a professor working
in Boston, MA.
>
> > David Sims - ?
>
> > T.J. McKay - working in South Carolina for a radio group.
