I really enjoyed the responses to local radio good guys. I also was very flattered to be included on at least one poster list!

How about coolest local "air names"?

I'm starting it off with my personal favorite: J. Parker Antrim

Ah yes, J. Parker Antrim...that was indeed a cool name.

A few of my nominees:

These are oldies...
Spook Beckman
Doctor Bop (on COL-AM in its early top 40 days)
E. Karl
Charlie Pickard (not necessarily a "cool" name; I just enjoy the sound of it)
Johnny Dollar (I *think* there was a Johnny Dollar...on WTVN? I'm not positive memory serves on this one)

Also,
Suzy Waud (that CAN'T be her real name...but it is)
The late Zoot Strider of WBBY
The late Flippo (OK maybe that's cheating, but you didn't specify radio)
Joe Show
Mike Eiland (especially for those who don't know it's not spelled "Island")

Mark Dantzer...For years before the internet existed I thought his last name was spelled "Dancer"...Good play on words.
AndyMan from CD 101.
Blake Thunder from the old Hot 105/107/Kiss FM.
Billy Burke from Star 107.9
Joe Kelly from WNCI, Kiss-FM, and 92X.
I'll also add Suzi Waud from The Blitz and (Briefly) Star 107.9...She was also briefly doing morning drive on WGTZ Z-93 in Dayton...Cool name!
Officer Al the Motorists' Pal formerly of Q-FM.
Scoop formerly of 'BZX.

Page Turner (did the news on 92.3 before it went funky... uh I mean Country and became WCOL).

Page Turner (get it?) was the news chick on the Power Pig/Hot 105. It was actually a stage name. It was really Stacy McKay, now on Sunny 95.

i remember WLUP AM1000 in Chicago had a Lane Weaver doing traffic about 10 years ago when Steve Dahl was on in the afternoon

Close... Leslie Keiling portrayed "Lane Closure" for years.

Johnny Dollar was the air name for Jim Pidcock.

Spook Beckman was Frederick Beckman
Zoot Strider was Hugh Strider
E. Karl was Edwin Karl Faulke or Folke or some such spelling
