another format change for 100.7FM

The other day, I was channel surfing on the radio and noticed that KAWW, 100.7FM in Heber Springs/Searcy, which since early March had gone by the moniker of Spirit 100.7, is now going by "Easy 100.7", so I'm assuming its an Adult Standards format now. I'm wondering whether this is a temporary switch because of the holidays, or its permanent? Since January 2004, it has gone from Classic Rock to Adult Contemporary to Hot AC to Spirit 100.7 to now Easy 100.7.

Just checked out 100.7 for the first time in a long time and the music hardly sounds easy to me.. Katy Perry - California Girls into Toto - Hold the line. Seems like they have an identity crisis

They also sound like they're using a low bit rate internet stream to get the signal from the studio to the transmitter. It just sounds bad. That, and the way they're all over the map musically, this seems like a case of holding on to a station so no one else can own it and potentially use it against other Crain properties as a competitor. They should consider moving the talk format from 99.1 to 100.7, fixing the bad audio and turning off the stereo pilot since it's a bigger signal than 99.1 (which should also have the stereo pilot turned off especially if it's talk). If you're going to waste one station make it the one with the lesser signal. But why waste any of them?
