My usually dependable grapevine suggests that the format may stay close to the same but the local apect of another central Ohio station will fall by the wayside in favor of more syndicated, non-personal, satelite fed, generic, ... sorry my comma finger got stuck.

Will update as warranted.

Any more details? I'd guess WJZA/WJZK.

That sounds possible.. Though isn't Smooth Jazz WJZA highly voice tracked already? I know they where under previous ownership before Saga. They could easily go to the Jones format that many smooth jazz stations have adopted.

WVKO (103.1 FM) has filed an application for a change of ownership with the FCC on April 10th, 2007; I think it will be them to change formats.

It is Smooth Jazz, but it doesn't sound like a format flip... they sound like they've picked up some sort of satellite. I don't here Trisha at all, but the traffic and weather guy are still local.

That's disheartening.

I haven't listened to see but they are more than likely using the Smooth Jazz satellite format that Clear Channel's dayton station and others have picked up over the recent years.

Speaking about being them on the bird now, look at the new website for Jazz 103.5 and 104.1 in Columbus and the current Smooth Jazz 106.5 radio website in Dayton.

Their Def on the bird now...

I was listening driving back to North Columbus tonight and after two different spot blocks I heard it cut into a smooth jazz song midway with no liner/imager.
