Another forthcoming shocker from Infinity?

Rumors are swirling there that another longtime vet is about to get the ax at Infinity very soon, maybe even this coming week. I'll have to scan each stations' website before I place any bets. I'd take a stab at someone with KRLD, like Mike Rogers or some other long-termer with an old contract about to expire. I'd hate to guess someone like Summers or Cresswell at KLUV, but no one is sacred anymore.

UPDATE: this actually came indirectly out of the Oasis camp, so it may even be someone else over there. Who? Maybe Lynn Briggs? She hasn't been there long enough to have an old contract. But apparently PD Charley has a list of old buddies he'd love to bring on board. Trevor Lay was one.

WORST case scenario: KRLD's Brad Barton. Like I said, NO ONE is sacred.
Edited by AliceTheCook on 03/12/06 02:30 AM.

Anyone with talent and longevity of course is a likely target. Both those qualities are terribly discomfiting to managenent, in terms of management's many insecurities and in terms of money.

Dallas has a lot of fine, talented people on the air but their numbers, sadly, are going under the axe.

Not much gray area there.

Interestingly enough, that's the first name that came to mind as I was reading the first part of your post. I hope this isn't the case. IMHO Brad should be allowed to retire from KRLD, whenever he reaches that point in his life.
